Produced by Intuitive Surgical, the da Vinci surgical robot is the most successful surgical robot in the world and the most widely used medical robot. Surgery using the da Vinci surgical robot, which typically requires only a few small incisions within 2 cm in diameter, is extremely precise, which means less bleeding, faster healing and a reduced risk of infection. In 2015, the da Vinci surgical robot became an internet sensation for stitching up a grape in a narrow-mouth bottle. The da Vinci surgical robot has become the standard for robot-assisted surgery.
2. Endoscopic robot
Endoscopy is a procedure in which a small camera on a long wire is inserted into the body through a “natural opening” to look for signs of injury, foreign objects or disease.
